Evidence-based research shows that the application of music and sound healing protocols can produce improved patient outcomes, such as pain reduction, shorter length of illness and hospitalization, and increased patient comfort and satisfaction.

Environmental effects such as light and noise can have an impact on both the patient and the healthcare worker.
